yoppul went to the Isle of Wight Festival

This weekend, thousands of revellers descended on the Island for the Isle of Wight Festival — and, of course, yoppul decided to join the party.

Luckily, the festival defied gloomy weather forecasts, with the sun shining on Seaclose Park for *most* of the weekend as people watched sets from the likes of David Guetta and Run DMC, to Zara Larsson and Rod Stewart.

While searching for scoops backstage, CP and yoppul reporter Bonnie McLaren caught interviews with Darryl, from Run DMC:

And Wight Noize winners, Island indie five piece Nakamarra:

The CP also grabbed interviews with Scouting for Girls, Imelda May, The Kooks and Texas — which you’ll be able to see in the County Press supplement on Friday.

We also spotted a load of celebs wandering around backstage, including Bastille, Dougie from McFly, Peter Crouch and Leona Lewis.

A festival steeped in history, it’s obvious Isle of Wight has still got its original rock’n’roll appeal.
