AFTER the success of last year’s gigs, Chalkpit Records will be hosting another live night of music at Quay Arts next Friday (March 3).
The line-up boasts indie four piece XOCKHA, pop rock group Submariner and low-fi indie act Goo Lagoon.
Submariner — who have just won a place on the line up at Southampton’s Common People — will be crossing the water from Brighton to share their ‘ambient indie revolution.’
The band said: “We’re extremely excited to be coming over to the Isle of Wight for the show. We’ve heard nothing but good things about the shows that Chalkpit have put on in the past and ourselves being huge fans of XOCKHA, it was a no brainer.”
Christ the King sixth form student Fox Rawding, 18, will also be showcasing his home recording project Goo Lagoon.
Silas Gregory, head of the independent record label, said: “We are excited to be bringing a range of high quality nights to the Quay Arts, packed with the Island and south coast’s most exciting artists.
“We hope these nights will only encourage more people to attend and support original live music on the Isle of Wight and inspire people to pick up an instrument and give it ago themselves.”
The gig is 14+ and doors open at 7.30pm. Get your £5 ticket here.
